Director Peter Jackson has revealed a safety video for Air New Zealand which features a look into Middle Earth and many actors from The Hobbit trilogy.
While we’ve been hearing about this safety video featuring Lord of the Rings and Hobbit director Peter Jackson for quite some time, the Air New Zealand video has finally arrived. Watch below where director Peter Jackson, Elijah Wood, and a few more Hobbit characters show up:
Air New Zealand decided to take advantage of the final Hobbit film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and release a new safety video for their airline which features their beloved director Sir Peter Jackson.
It’s certainly a bit bizarre, but we get to see two passengers as they take a look at all things Middle Earth after taking a seat on one of Air New Zealand’s planes. Elijah Wood is seen sitting near the two Hobbit fans (who are dressed in their Hobbit gear) and we also get a look at a few dwarves from the film.
We also get a look at Weta Digital’s Richard Taylor, who is shown sitting in a seat looking fairly tiny next to an orc. We also get a look at Dean O’Gorman as the dwarf Fili, while he rides a horse and shows passengers how to buckle and unbuckle their seatbelt.
It’s nice that Peter Jackson and Elijah Wood were willing to make this fun video for Air New Zealand passengers and we imagine everyone will take a bit more notice when the safety video rolls before their flight to and from the beautiful country of New Zealand.
The studio have also released a new poster for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which finally features the entire cast. Check it out below:
Let us know if you plan on taking the journey to see the real Hobbiton in the future in New Zealand. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be released on December 17.
