Fans of Emma Approved will have the chance to watch several new episodes early at Toronto’s Buffer Festival this November.
Eight new episodes of Emma Approved will screen for Buffer Festival attendees on November 9 this year.
Episodes 9-16 of Emma Approved will screen on Saturday November 9 from 5-6.30pm, at TIFF Cinema 2. The screening will be hosted by Emma Approved screenwriter Bernie Su and star Joanna Sotomura, who will discuss the adaptation and evolution of the show.
Su and Sotomura will also host a meet-up for fans earlier in the day, between 1-2.30pm. The meet-up will take place at the Toronto Convention Centre.
Pemberley Digital, the real life company behind Emma Approved explained that the screening will cover “the entire month 2 arc of the series.” They also hinted that some behind-the-scenes footage may be shown.
The festival takes the form of various screenings and events held in the downtown entertainment district of Toronto. Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance, or $20 if purchased at the door. Attendees must have purchased at least one ticket for a screening in order to attend a meet-up.
Emma Approved will be amongst great company at Buffer Festival. MyMusic creators The Fine Bros and stars Grace Helbig and Jack Douglass will be appearing, as well as YouTubers Michael Buckley, Charles Tripp, Charlie McDonnell, Hannah Hart and The Gregory Brothers.

Emma Approved is the newest web series adaptation from the makers of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Welcome to Sanditon. The series is a modernisation of Jane Austen’s Emma, and new episodes air weekly on Monday and Thursday at 12pm ET.
