EA was recently voted as the worst company in America for the second year in a row.

Today’s press conference has the potential of erasing that stigma and returning EA back to its former glory.

Critics of EA have a lot of fire to fuel their distaste. The chain of bad decisions started when EA made it necessary to have a consistent internet connection to play the long awaited SimCity.

SimCity caused even more issues when the release date for Mac users was delayed until this August. The reasoning their official blog gave for the game’s Mac version’s delay was that it “isn’t ready for primetime yet.”

Amongst all of the issues EA has had with their SimCity release, the decided that a fun way to gain revenue was to have DLC codes on Crest toothpaste packaging.

The shining moments in EA’s recent history may be hard to find, but they do exist. With the news that the video game section of George Lucas’ franchises, LucasArts, was shut down by Disney, fans were afraid they would never see new games in their favorite Star Wars franchises.

However, EA bought the rights to the Star Wars video game franchises, breathing new life into the once dead games like Battlefront and The Force Unleashed.

At the end of the day, what would most impress fans of EA games would be that the first footage of The Sims 4, which has been confirmed as not requiring the always-on internet connection that SimCity has. Also, if the long rumored Mirror’s Edge 2 is confirmed at the E3 2013 EA press show, we’re pretty sure a lot of EA’s recent woes will be forgiven.
