Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis are the latest notable names to join the cast of Paramount and eOne’s upcoming Dungeons and Dragons adaptation.
In case you missed the big news, Hasbro’s hit roleplaying game, Dungeons and Dragons is officially getting the adaptation treatment over at Paramount and eOne.
Casting for the highly anticipated movie has been revving up as of late and today, the adaptation has added two new cast members to its ranks.
According to Deadline, actors Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis have both just signed on to appear in the upcoming fantasy flick.
The studios have yet to confirm who Grant and Lillis will be playing, but sources say that Grant is reportedly on board to take on the role of the film’s villain.
Today’s casting news for the film comes hot on the heels of word that Bridgerton breakout Rege-Jean Page has also joined the cast of the Dungeons and Dragons movie.
Others who’ve previously joined the cast include Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Justice Smith.
Behind the camera, the studio has tapped Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley to direct. The duo, who have previously worked together on such titles as Game Night and Spider-Man: Homecoming, will also be teaming to work on the Dungeons and Dragons script, working off of a draft penned by Michael Gilio.
Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see Paramount, Hasbro, and eOne’s Dungeons and Dragons adaptation hit the big screen.
