Doctor Who fans have a big weekend ahead of them! BBC will be announcing who will be taking Peter Capaldi’s place as the Doctor after the Wimbledon men’s final.

If you’re a Doctor Who fan and a Game of Thrones fan then your Sunday just got even more important.

Fans can tune in to their local Doctor Who channels on Sunday, July 16 after the Wimbledon men’s final finishes.

The announcement doesn’t state what channel or time, but the tweet came through BBC America’s account so it will likely be at some time in the morning for American fans, and in the afternoon for UK fans.

The Wimbledon men’s final begins at 2:00 p.m. GMT, which is 9:00 a.m. EST. For those who are unaware of how long matches are, they vary greatly and can be as short as one hour or last as long as five.

We recommended that Doctor Who fans keep an eye on the Wimbledon match on your local TV channels if you want to catch it live, and if not just check back here for all the news!

Who do you think will be the 13th Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’?
