Dexter season 8 will introduce Julian Sands to an already impressive guest-starring list, with his role kept under wraps for now.

Dexter season 8 has already added the likes of Charlotte Rampling, Sean-Patrick Flannery, Nick Gomez whilst also promoting Yvonne Strahovski and Aimee Garcia as series regulars. There seems to still be more room though, and Dexter has added Julian Sands to the roster.

TVGuide are reporting that Sands will step into the shoes of Miles Foster, a wealthy international businessman.

Sands, who has previously worked on 24, Smallville, Castle , and Person of Interest , will be another experienced cast member to join Dexter season 8.

But what are the early predictions that could be made regarding Sands’s instalment? The only clue we have is that he will be a wealthy international businessman. Doesn’t this sound much akin to Isaak Sirko? Ray Stevenson gave a tremendous performance as Sirko, and if Sands’ character is anything to go by purely on description, are we heading for a copy of Sirko?

We’ll have to wait and see.

It’ll be interesting to see whether Miles Foster will have any connections with Nick Gomez’s character, Javier Guzman. We reported back in February of Gomez’s arrival to Dexter, and we believe the link between Guzman and Foster could be worthy of a storyline.
