Although he seemed quite ready to completely move on from Harry Potter back when he was promoting Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (he had said he was relieved to receive a text from J.K. Rowling in which she said she had no plans to write more Potter books), in a new interview he says he’d play the character again under one condition.
He told The Sun Times:
“If it was good enough, I would be Harry Potter again. If it was anything short of good enough, I would say no,” Radcliffe says. “I know I wouldn’t be Harry again for nostalgic or dutiful reasons.
“But if I learned one thing in life, it’s that it’s foolish to cut yourself off from anything. My motto is to never say never.”
How nice to hear that Radcliffe is interested in playing Harry again!
Though Rowling seems uninterested in writing future books, one way we could certainly “return” would be to film new material for the upcoming Wizarding World Orlando theme park expansion.
In May co-star Rupert Grint said he’d be interested in playing older Ron Weasley in the future.
Radcliffe and Justin Bieber now share a motto:
