Chris Evans and Tom Holland are setting aside their superhero roles to take on a darker story in Netflix’s midwestern gothic, The Devil All the Time.
These days, Chris Evans and Tom Holland are best known as their roles in the MCU as Captain America and Spider-Man. However, both actors will be taking on a totally different type of film in Netflix’s new flick, The Devil All the Time. The movie is based on the novel by Donald Ray Pollock and has been adapted by Antonio Campos. The movie tells the story of a “serial killer couple, a faith-testing preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff in a story told across two decades.”
The flick sounds amazing and will be quite the departure from Marvel movies. We can’t wait to see Chris Evans and Tom Holland in this new film.
But this isn’t just a flick with a cool synopsis. As Variety reports, The Devil All the Time has a truly all-star cast. Evans and Holland will be joining Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska, Bill Skarsgård, and Sharp Objects’ Eliza Scanlen.
Skarsgård and Scanlen’s roles haven’t been released, but we know that Robert Pattinson will be playing the preacher named Roy Lafferty, Mia Wasikowska will be Sandy Henderson, one half of the “serial killer couple,” Tom Holland will play a troubled character named Arvin, and Chris Evans will play a sheriff.
Variety has reported that production will start next month, but a release date for the film hasn’t been given just yet. However, we can’t wait to see Evans and Holland and the extremely talented cast of The Devil All the Time take on this compelling story.
