The Hunger Games: Catching Fire DVD and Blu-ray special features have surfaced by way of a Target.com product listing.
The standard edition of Catching Fire will include two hours of the following special features:
• Filmmaker Commentary
• 9-part Making-of Documentary
• Deleted Scenes
• Divergent Sneak Peek
The Divergent sneak peek is particularly interesting because it suggests that Catching Fire will be released before Divergent’s March 21, 2014 release date. It’s also a sign of Lionsgate and Summit’s interest in pushing Hunger Games fans into the dystopian world created by Veronica Roth and starring Shailene Woodley.
Deleted scene and commentary information hasn’t been released yet. We’re eager to see who’s a part of the commentary, and what additional scenes will be shared.
Target’s Special Edition of Catching Fire includes a bonus 45 minutes of material not available on the standard edition:
• “ONE VISION” (A FAITHFUL ADAPTATION)–translating Suzanne Collin’s source material to the big screen
• “THE ALLIANCE” (RETURNING CAST)—an inside look at the close-knit relationships of the returning actors
• “FRIEND OR FOE” (NEW CAST)–finding the perfect embodiments of the new characters
By pre-ordering the special edition at Target.com now for the pleasantly low price of $24.99, you will also receive a free poster depicting our favorite Mockingjay.
Earlier this week we shared another Catching Fire special edition that had surfaced in the United Kingdom, and these two sets appear to share similar bonus features.
Which ‘Catching Fire’ deleted scenes do you hope to see?
