The new trailer for teen comedy, Booksmart finds two BFFs making up for lost time.
Actress Olivia Wilde is gearing up to make her directorial debut in the brand new teen comedy Booksmart.
Starring Kaitlyn Dever (Justified, Last Man Standing) and Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird, How To Build A Girl, the forthcoming film, which premiered over the weekend at SXSW, focuses on two straight A besties determined to make the most of their last night as high school seniors.
“We have to go to a party tonight,” says Feldstein’s Molly at one point in the trailer. “Nobody knows that we are fun. We didn’t party because we wanted to focus on school and get into good colleges.”
The decision to go hard on the books might have worked, but as Molly points out to BFF Amy (Dever), “irresponsible people who party also got into those colleges.”
Armed with hand sanitizer, chapstick, and mace, the girls set out to cram four years of partying into one unforgettable night.
