Big Brother season 16, episode 19 just finished airing and the week 6 Power of Veto has taken place! Read our recap to find out what happened.
After losing the Battle of the Block, Zach is quite upset and wants to be left alone. He’s still hopeful that he can win Power of Veto to save himself. Jocasta is a little more positive, as she’s been up on the block four times and is still hanging in.
Caleb is mainly upset he has to lose his beautiful hair and stay on slop for two more weeks. Victoria is ecstatic that she’s safe.
Frankie goes up to the HoH room to try to get information out of Nicole. When he asks her what she wants to happen this week, Nicole says she wants Zach to go. It’s obvious what Frankie is up to and she doesn’t trust him. Of course, he’s still her target for the week.
Caleb and Victoria get called into the diary and come out dressed in their Adam & Eve costumes, which consists of bathing suits and leaves. They’re also joined by a leafy chain at the wrists for the next 48 hours. Within minutes Caleb is already annoyed with the arraignment. Caleb also has to shave his head, which Victoria helps him with.
Derrick, Cody, Hayden, and Nicole meet up and decide to work together. They talk about having Frankie as their target for this week. Of course, Cody and Derrick are still secretly in an alliance with Frankie. They decide to name themselves The Rationale.
Talking with Nicole, Christine says she doesn’t think Zach is going home. Christine is worried she’s drifting from Nicole and doesn’t know where her head is at. Christine says that Nicole should re-nom Derrick or Cody to make sure Zach goes home. She also says that Hayden has been talking a lot with Victoria.
So Nicole tells Hayden about what Christine said. Hayden denies what Christine says and she believes him (because it’s the truth). So now they’re both mad at Christine for spinning stories and trying to manipulate Nicole.
Cody is shocked to find out about Christine’s actions. Cody relays the information to Derrick. They begin to think that she’s working with someone else. Although upset with Christine, they think Frankie should remain the target.
When it’s time to pick players for the veto competition, Nicole picks Caleb, Zach picks Christine, and Jocasta picks Victoria.
There’s trouble in paradise for Adam and Eve. Being on slop has them cranky and Caleb can’t believe how much time Victoria spends on her hair and makeup. He does little to hide how annoyed he is hanging around Victoria.
The Detonators meet up to discuss the veto competition. Zach still thinks he’ll be okay, but doesn’t know Christine doesn’t plan on saving him if she wins.
In Big Brother Comics, the house guests must hit the button to start the clock then match the comics on their computer display to the Big Brother wall. When they think they have all 16 correct, they must hit the buzzer. The player to get it correct in the shortest time will win POV.
Nicole goes first and finishes quickly but has one wrong. It takes her a bit of time to realize she had her comic incorrect. Caleb goes second and falls in love with the Amber comic. But he gets several wrong and has to go back and fix them. Victoria goes third and has a hard time with the zip line. She has too many wrong and can’t figure it out before the time runs out.
Jocasta is next and goes quickly but has Victoria’s comic wrong. She swaps it out and finishes. Christine is fifth in the competition and goes rather quickly. She has one wrong but swaps it out fast. Zach is last and has a few wrong that he can’t figure out. Frustration takes over and he starts freaking out, throwing comics. Finally he realizes they’re not in the correct order.
The results are revealed:
Nicole finished in 12:20
Caleb finished in 15:48
Victoria finished in 35:00
Jocasta finished in 14:39
Christine finished in 11:50
Zach finished in 26:17
Which means that Christine won Power of Veto. Nicole isn’t sure what to think about Christine winning the veto. Zach sure hopes she’ll use it to save him.
Later, Caleb and Victoria celebrate being able to take off their costumes. Which means they no longer have to stay attached to one another.
Hayden and Nicole make good use of the HoH room to cuddle alone. They discuss Christine again and Nicole is still a bit shocked. Nicole’s hoping Christine will use the veto so that she can re-nom Frankie.
At the Power of Veto meeting Christine decides not to use the veto. That means that Zach and Jocasta are both still up for eviction.
