Ariana Grande is heading to NBC’s The Voice for season 21!
There’ll be a new coach in one of the four coaches’ chairs when The Voice returns for season 21.
On Tuesday (May 30), NBC’s hit singing competition announced that Ariana Grande would officially be joining the cast of the series as one of the four coaches for the show’s next season.
The Grammy Award nominee will be taking over the chair vacated by Nick Jonas, who is currently serving as a returning coach on season 20. Jonas first served as a coach on the series in season 18, assuming the seat vacated by Adam Levine.
Grande took to social media to spread the good news with fans far and wide, tweeting: “Surprise!!! I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevboice ! @nickjonas we will miss you”
The “positions” pop star paired her tweet with a photo of herself lounging on one of the show’s iconic spinning coaches chairs decked from head to toe in leopard print.
Elsewhere, Grande’s fellow coaches Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend also took to Twitter to welcome her to the family.
