The first trailer for Truth Be Told season 2 is here, and at its heart, lies an all new murder mystery that’s begging to be solved.
Poppy Parnell (Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer) is back on the case in the first trailer for Apple’s Truth Be Told season 2— and this time, it’s personal.
Created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and based on the novel by Kathleen Barber, season 1 of the Apple Original introduced us to the investigative reporter turned true crime podcaster, who felt compelled to reopen the murder case that made her a national sensation after new new evidence cropped up.
While Poppy certainly had her work cut out for her in the first season of the series, season 2 throws the podcaster for a loop when she finds herself tasked with investigating a new case that deeply involves her childhood friend, media mogul Micah Keith (Academy Award Nominee Kate Hudson).
As the new trailer for Truth Be Told season 2 teases, it’s not long before tensions start running high, and as developments unfold, Poppy and Micah’s lifelong friendship will find itself put to the ultimate test.
