The Magic of Puck wants to win AGT so he can perform magic in a location where he can see his family. His dancing hanky act isn’t an original trick, but it’s very professional looking. Howard said he does this kind of magic very well, and he’s lucky that tonight’s talent level is so weak. Howie says he’s got talent and luck (he performed on a night with lackluster talent). Sharon says his presentation is professional, but he needs his act to be bigger.
16-year-old singer Bria Kelly said she is meant to play music for the rest of her life. Her performance was one of the first country performances in a while. Howard thinks she’ll go on and that she needs to keep making good song choices. Sharon says that she was good but needs to not shout. Howie says that she’s the standout.
Cast in Bronze plays an instrument called the Caroline. He didn’t choose the Caroline, the Caroline chose him. He says the instrument made out of bells was passed on to him, and it’s one of the best kept musical secrets in 500 years. No word on why he’s allowed to take it to national television then. Sharon was very confused. Howie wondered about the process of putting this act together. Howard said if Hell had a musician, it would be Cast in Bronze.
The last act to perform was Academy of Villains. It was clear they were the class act of the night. Howard said that the YouTube auditions brought one really good thing, and it was them. Sharon said it was worth the other bad acts to see them. Howie said that they really did save the best for last, and that they were so original.
Last night’s episode featured much more bad than good, and there are few sure things to advance.
Our predictions to advance: Academy of Villains, Bria Kelly, The Magic of Puck, and Clint Carvalho and his Extreme Parrots.
