American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has announced another cast member returning, this time he revealed Lily Rabe is on board for season 3.
It looks like Murphy isn’t having any trouble getting his actors to keep returning to FX’s hit show American Horror Story. Last night he took to Twitter to make the announcement that Rabe, who appeared in both the first and second season, would be back for the third.

In the first season Rabe played Nora Montgomery, the ghost and original owner of the murder house. She was married to Charles Montgomery, a doctor that spent his time getting high and experimenting in a Frankenstein manner. When they fell behind in bills he also took to performing abortions for young women. One of the girls’ boyfriend decides to take revenge and kidnapped their son, cutting him up to pieces. To try and bring their son back Charles plays Frankenstein with their son, repairing him with animal parts. Horrified she takes a gun to her husband and herself. Together the family continues to haunt the house.
In the second season Rabe played Sister Mary Eunice, a nun working at the insane asylum. At first she was depicted as shy and fearful working under Sister Jude. That is until she becomes possessed by the devil and then seeks to take over Briarcliff herself. Thereafter she caused mayhem more than calming it, letting killers lose, murdering patients, and trying to seduce others in the staff.
What kind of character could Murphy have in mind for her next?
