American Gods gets a season 2 pick up at Starz. This is certainly something both the Old Gods and the New Gods can appreciate.
The Gods thank you for your worship. After only two episodes of season 1, American Gods proves that it is worthy of continuing at Starz. With the renewal, Michael Green and Bryan Fuller’s adaptation helps Mr. Wednesday’s argument. Belief is a powerful thing indeed.
In a press release Craig Cegielski, co-CEO of FremantleMedia North America, says,
American Gods has been a ground-breaking series born out of belief and it’s thrilling to be partnered with Starz to continue this ambitious story. Neil Gaiman, Bryan Fuller, and Michael Green have ignited a conversation through cinematic magic, presented through a diverse ensemble of actors that continue to keep us engaged and inspired.
Why you should keep watching ‘American Gods’
Our writers are already in love with the series! Check out our “In Conversation” style recaps, where our writers break down each episode in detail.
Check out our previous two recaps:
• American Gods season 1, episode 1: “The Bone Orchard”
• American Gods season 1, episode 2: “The Secret of Spoons”
Season 1 of American Gods will burn through about a third of Neil Gaiman’s novel. This leaves plenty of room for the adaptors to explore and build out there world. In two episodes, audiences have only been introduced to a small fraction of the world.
Episode 3 features a few more introductions as well as one scene that cannot be missed. Believe us, you’ll be talking about it for quite some time!
