A Quiet Place Part 2 dropped a full trailer on New Year’s Day, and it looks like the adventure isn’t slowing down in this highly anticipated sequel.
Listen, we get it. There are a ton of reboots and sequels floating around movie theaters these days, so it’s really tough to get excited about a sequel. But we have to say, after watching the trailer for A Quiet Place Part 2, we are so incredibly pumped.
This sequel truly feels like a needed and non-stop action return to the universe we were introduced to in the first Quiet Place film. A Quiet Place Part 2 sees the return of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe as the Abbott family, and John Krasinski is returning as the director and writer of the movie.
A Quiet Place Part 2 seems to start pretty much immediately after the events of the first movie. And the Abbotts are ready to leave their home to see who else they can help as they try to rebuild their lives.
But it seems that the aliens aren’t the only threats the Abbotts need to be wary of. Take a peek at the trailer to see what is in store in this exciting sequel.
A Quiet Place Part 2 adds amazing actors Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou to the cast, and we learn what other threats await survivors on an earth decimated by brutal aliens. Murphy’s character offers the Abbotts an ominous warning, saying that “The people that are left are not the kind of people worth saving.”
And it isn’t a surprising thing to hear, honestly. You can imagine that the people tough enough to survive in a world where literally making any sounds could get you killed probably aren’t the warmest individuals.
So who will be waiting as Evelyn Abbott and her children try to seek out a new life and help those they can? Will the family manage to find a new life after the devastation they experienced at their family home?
And most of all, how in the world will they ever be able to fight for survival against brutal post-apocalyptic humans and bloodthirsty aliens with a newborn baby in tow and a matriarch who is still recovering from childbirth and a nail through her foot?
We’ll have to wait until A Quiet Place Part 2 hits movie theaters. Mercifully, we don’t have to wait too much longer, as the film releases in movie theaters everywhere on March 20.
