Pretty Little Liars fans know Brant Daugherty as Noel Kahn, a malicious high school student who torments the Liars and who once had a crush on Aria (Lucy Hale). Audiences will soon know him from his upcoming role in The Starving Games.
As reported by Variety, Daugherty will play Dale, a parody of Gale Hawthorne from The Hunger Games. Gale is played by Liam Hemsworth in the official franchise’s movies. The Starving Games is a parody of The Hunger Games, as well as The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
The movie is written and directed by the Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer who wrote and/or directed Spy Hard, Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Vampires Suck. It is probably safe to assume that this movie will be in the same comedic vein of its predecessors.
Daugherty has appeared in 19 episodes so far of ABC Family’s show Pretty Little Liars. He previously appeared in Days of Our Lives, Super Sportlets, and Private.
Do you think this means Noel Kahn will not be in as many episodes in the remaining half of the third season? Can you see the resemblance between Daugherty and Hemsworth?
We reported yesterday that Switched at Birth‘s Maiara Walsh was cast as Katniss’ parody character, Katmiss Evershot. Are you excited for this comedic film?
