TV Equals recently held an interview with Ian Bohen (Peter) and Stephen Lunsford (Matt) at an MTV function, where they talked about season 3, their characters, and some of their interactions with fans.
Check out the full interview below:
Obviously Lunsford’s character didn’t survive to see the end of season 2, but when the interviewer asks, “You’re here, which means, what’s going on with Matt?” he replies, “Uh, I can’t say anything. I can only give winks and nods. That’s all I’m gonna – if MTV is still putting me to work, I mean that’s…” before trailing off and being joined by Bohen. Lunsford then jokes that he’s a zombie.
Bohen goes on to praise Lunsford’s acting on the show, saying that everyone loved him and was “wowed” by his performance. Bohen says that it’s completely conceivable and that death in the Teen Wolf world is relative (speaking from experience). He also continues by saying that if people want to see him more, the creators may just give fans what they want.
Bohen also tells us that they plan on shooting 12 episodes, then taking a break, before finishing up with another 12 episodes since season 3 has been extended to 24 episodes in total. Shooting will now take place in California.
While Bohen insists that he doesn’t know anything for sure, he guesses that Lydia is going to have a huge romance with someone unexpected. That could spell trouble for fans who want to see her with either Jackson or Stiles, as both those options are pretty plausible (and not unexpected) at this point. Considering that Bohen is much closer to the scripts than we are, it is quite possible that he’s heard whisperings of such things.
Lunsford also talks about a fan experience in which someone posed as co-star Colton Haynes (Jackson) via text, tricking him into thinking it was his friend. With strange stories like that aside, Bohen insists that most of their fans are amazingly active and passionate. He says, “Other fans like other shows, but Teen Wolf fans love Teen Wolf. Like, they beyond love it. It’s important to them. It means something to them. And that doesn’t happen a ton. It’s rewarding and cool and I like that.”
