Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson books, will be doing a Q&A session on Twitter that will last all weekend long. Get all the details right here!
Just like he did on the summer solstice, Riordan will be doing another question-and-answer session with fans via his official Twitter account. So what’s so special about this weekend? It’s the autumn equinox of course! And any respectable demigod will tell you that this is an important day, when light and dark are finally equal and we begin a brand new season.
If you follow Riordan, you may already know that he doesn’t respond to fans on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, though he has all three. He has to concentrate on his writing, after all, so we can continue to get amazing books out of him. But this weekend marks the special occasion when he will try to answer as many of YOUR questions as he possibly can.
The rules are fairly simple. He won’t respond to any questions that you can find the answers to on his FAQ page. He also won’t be able to respond with any spoilers for The Mark of Athena. Spammers will be ignored, so make sure you don’t bug him by sending 100 tweets of the same question! Riordan also says that your chances will increase if you can think up intriguing and unique questions. He can’t get to them all, so don’t get discouraged, but he’ll try his best.
If you want an indication of what kind of questions got asked and answered during the last Q&A, you can read the transcript.
The Q&A will last all weekend, so you have plenty of time to think of some awesome questions. This comes at a great time if you’re unable to attend any of the events the author will be visiting on his book tour, as you’ll still get a chance to interact with him! If you are lucky enough to attend the tour, don’t forget to check out our article on what to expect while you’re there.
We’ll be sure to round up the best questions and answers and report back to you once the Q&A is over. Good luck!
