In J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, lead character Harry Potter is naked at the train station while in limbo between life and death.
The film version of this scene did not have Harry in the flesh, and that “disappointed” Rowling.
She told Dan Radcliffe face-to-face in this new clip from Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection, “frankly, I’m disappointed,” when addressing that scene and why Radcliffe wouldn’t get naked after doing so for Equus.
There’s another great moment in this clip where Rowling realizes she and Radcliffe share a common interest in favorite films. Hers is A Matter of Life and Death, the 1946 film starring David Niven and Kim Hunter. The film is in Radcliffe’s top three. Radcliffe explains that he didn’t get naked but he only wore gray tones which was somewhat of a reference to Life and Death.
Dan Radcliffe and J.K. Rowling’s one-on-one conversation is available on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray but can be found in longer form, with this clip, in Wizard’s Collection. Watch another scene where they recall their biggest conversation about Harry. Purchase Wizard’s Collection for the low price of $344.99 through Amazon. The major box set includes all of the films and a boat load of new special features.
