Mark Sheppard recently mentioned during the Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff that Matt Smith was his favorite actor on the current Doctor Who series. Now he’s taking that statement a step further.
For long-time Whovians the questions “Who was your Doctor?” and “Who is your Doctor?” tend to have special meanings. The first question generally refers to the Doctor Who from when that person watched as a child (i.e., the first actor to hook that fan on Doctor Who). The second question usually references who is their quintessential Doctor, regardless of era.
BBC America caught up with Mark Sheppard, a Doctor Who fan since the 1970s, at the Cardiff convention. Sheppard has now pronounced Matt Smith as “his Doctor.”
Also – it seems obvious now – did you realize that Mark Sheppard is the voice of BBC America?
Would you like to see a return of Mark Sheppard’s Doctor Who character, either the younger or the older version?
