Deadline is reporting that Roland Emmerich (The Day After Tomorrow) is in talks with Sony to helm their $3 million spec script, White House Down.
The film is being described as the story of a paramilitary takeover of the White House, with comparisons being drawn to Die Hard.
Deadline reports that “Sony Pictures paid $3 million when Vanderbilt and his Mythology Entertainment partners brought the spec script to market last week.” James Vanderbilt, who recently penned The Amazing Spider-Man for Sony, scripted the action-drama.
