New music from Lorde could soon be on the horizon!
It’s been four long years since Lorde hit us with Melodrama but now, it seems like the singer/songwriter might finally be gearing up to release new music.
On Monday (June 7), the singer took to her website to share what appears to be new cover art for what could possibly be her next single.
The image features the words “Solar Power” embossed in yellow up at the top, along with an artsy photograph taken at a low angel of a woman (presumably the singer herself) leaping across a beachy landscape.
“Ariving in 2021,” reads the caption along with the cover art on Lorde’s website, “Patience is a virtue.”
While no other specific details have been made clear with regards to wether the new artwork is for a single or an album, it’s certainly drumming up quite a bit of excitement amongst Lorde fans.
Lorde has been keeping tight lipped when it comes to specific details with regards to her highly anticipated third studio album.
The last insight we got into album three came just about a year ago when the singer sent out a mass email to fans updating them on the album’s progress.
In it, she revealed that she “started going back to the studio again in December, just for something to do.”
“To my surprise, good things came out,” wrote the singer back in May of 2020. “Happy, playful things. I felt my melodic muscles flexing and strengthening.”
In addition, the singer also teased that she’ll once again be working with Jack Antonoff, who served as a producer on Melodrama.
We’ll be ready and waiting for more details about what this new “Solar Power” artwork could mean— hopefully Lorde hits up with another hint soon!
