Ever wondered what would happen if the characters of Glee stepped foot in the Murder House? No? Well, you’re about to find out, anyway!
Television show guru, Ryan Murphy, took to Twitter late last night to reveal some shocking news about the new project of which he’s been keeping hush-hush about until now.
“I’ve always been leading up to this,” Ryan said in an exclusive, over-the-phone interview with me this morning. “I can’t say much at this point, but it’s been there all along. If you look carefully, all of my shows have been intertwined since the beginning.”
Fans of Murphy’s work shouldn’t be all that surprised. Murphy started to ridiculously connect the seasons of anthology series, American Horror Story back during Freak Show. It was only a matter of time before he flipped the switch and put Bette Davis smack dab in the middle of McKinley High School. (What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?: The Musical, anyone?)
So now fans just have to wait and speculate. What will the new series look like? What will it be called? American Glee Story: Fued Queens? Where will it take place? What will happen when Rachel Berry heads up against Hester? Or when Madison Montgomery meets Chanel? Will Christian and Sean from Nip/Tuck team up with those from the C.U.R.E. Institute and Dr. Arden? It sounds like Murphy has concocted an amazing recipe to fit all of these worlds onto one screen.
To me, however it sounds more like an insane one. Between this and the 2016 Election-inspired season of American Horror Story, it seems like Murphy may be off his rocker. Maybe it is about time he checked himself into the Briarcliff Sanitarium. That would be one hell of a crossover if you ask me.
