Real Life, based on the web series 7P/10E, will be executively produced by How I Met Your Mother‘s creators.
Another web series is being adapted for mainstream programming, following in Awkward Black Girl (which became Insecure on HBO)’s footsteps.
This time it’s the 2014 web series 7P/10E, created by Avital Ash. The series has been adapted by How I Met Your Mother writer and Bad Teacher creator Hilary Winston, with HIMYM execs Carter Bays and Craig Thomas serving as executive producers.

7P/10E is a comedy about two twenty-somethings whose online relationship gets complicated when they go from being co-workers on opposite coasts to working in the same office.
Last year, CBS passed on another version of the web series adaptation, but according to Deadline, the network liked the idea so much they commissioned Winston to reimagine the story and produce a new version of the script.
That became Real Life, which has been picked up for a pilot. Once the pilot has been produced, CBS will then decide whether to order more episodes.
