When you call an episode of The 100 season 3 “Nevermore,” and one of your principal characters is named Raven, it’s impossible to avoid a Poe reference or two.
Okay, moving on from the Poe reference, “Nevermore” does not have a promising ring to it. There are a myriad of things we’d love to see go the way of nevermore, but chances are this doesn’t bode well. Here’s what we can expect to see in The 100 season 3, episode 11.
Pike may not be stomping around Arkadia anymore after Bellamy lead him and his men into enemy hands, but things are not looking up on The 100. Not yet anyway.
Raven is currently not herself, as ALIE forced Raven to bend to her will using painful memories to exact revenge for Raven trying to evict ALIE from her mind. It’s so hard to see a character we know and love so well be used for a purpose she didn’t believe in. Someone has to put a stop to Jaha and his reign of terror. He refuses to see that everyone is entitled to decide how to live their lives.
Jasper isn’t happy. After seeing Raven get overtaken by ALIE, he thought he knew how to save her, but the means, those pesky bracelets from season 1, were crushed like his hopes for helping Raven. We’re definitely happy to see Jasper doing more than sulking around, especially if it means saving the woman that has taught him so much.
While Raven and Jasper are dealing with things at Arkadia, Octavia is still trying to figure out what to do in a world without Lincoln. She’s always been an independent mind, but knowing that the one person she could always count on is gone will mess with anyone’s sense of right and purpose.
Monty is apparently going to have a decision to make. With his mother still loyal to Pike’s cause and him choosing to work against the Chancellor, it’s not hard to imagine why he’s struggling. It’s been nice seeing Monty have his own motivations this season, but we would definitely be happy to see his storyline continue to grow.
Thanks to the stills provided for this episode, it looks like Bellamy and Clarke will find themselves in the same place for the first time since Bellamy handcuffed her to a table and tried to turn her over to Pike. What will the two have to say to each other? So much has happened since, we can’t imagine what they will have to say to each other.
Did they both find their way to Niylah? We can only hope that she has the answers to all our problems. Hopefully she can lead Clarke to Luna and provide the last known remaining bracelet to cure Raven of ALIE’s influence. So much of our favorite characters’ hope rests in her hands, we just hope she wants to help.
