The Teen Wolf season 4 DVD will get a new cover featuring Derek Hale that you can only obtain from San Diego Comic-Con 2015.
Entertainment Weekly had the exclusive first look, which you can check out below.
The new artwork for the Teen Wolf season 4 DVD features a shirtless Derek holding a gun. The background is red (with obligatory blood spatter), and a large triskelion looms behind him.
This cover pays homage to the scene in season 4, episode 11, “A Promise to the Dead,” where Derek and Braeden ready themselves for an attack when the alarm in Derek’s loft goes off. Luckily, it was just Lydia. Unluckily, that sort of marks Derek for death.
At least we know that turned out mostly all right for Derek come the season’s end. As we learned earlier this year, Tyler Hoechlin will not be a series regular for season 5, so it’s a nice gesture to feature his character on the front of the Comic-Con exclusive DVD case.
As far as we can tell, only the cover art is different. There doesn’t appear to be any additional special features in this updated version.
Remember that the Comic-Con exclusive Teen Wolf season 4 DVD is a limited edition you can only purchase at SDCC 2015. If you really want one, be sure to line up early before supplies run out.
Teen Wolf season 5 is in full swing right now, and even though Derek has yet to show his face, the characters won’t be forgetting him any time soon. Check out our episode 2 recap to relive each terrifying moment, as well as the times Derek was mentioned by one of our heroes.
We also spoke with Teen Wolf‘s showrunner Jeff Davis, who reflected back on season 4, revisited the season 5 premiere, and told us what we can expect from the rest of this year.
