Orphan Black season 3, episode 6 brought all the stakes to the table for Sarah, and several characters went to new lengths to get her back.
Sarah escapes
Sarah has a dream that Kira is at the compound, so she follows her into the tent that Kira had back home and actually sees Rudy pumping his blood into Sarah — yes, we mean she’s seeing herself — and she wakes up only to realize that she really does have an injection site in her neck.
Paul meets with someone higher up in the military to tell him that the male clones are doing research on civilians, and Paul is told to find out more and get evidence that Coady is actually doing it.
Later that day, Paul goes to visit Sarah who’s got a high fever and is not reacting well to Rudy’s blood. Paul talks to the doctor on base who explains what Coady has been doing and he tells Paul that she keeps all the records of the girls the clones have slept with in her quarters.
Paul meets with Mark and decides to work with him to get access to Coady’s quarters. He goes searching and finds the records he needs to place Virgina Coady under arrest, and he takes charge of the camp.
Paul then finds out that Sarah got two whole unites of Rudy’s blood but she’s not showing any of the symptoms of the other girls. But she is hallucinating, or dreaming, and she dreams that she meets Beth back at her house. They have a conversation about how much Beth loved Paul, and she was so confused by everything she couldn’t take it anymore.
Paul calls the guy above him, who tells him that he’s going to send Paul support and they’re about 6 hours out. Paul rounds up all the Castor clones except for Rudy, who’s on patrol. Unfortunately for Paul it looks like his guy is lying to him and tells Rudy to get back to base.
When Sarah wakes up she tells Paul she wants to talk to Coady, and learns that the Castor defect and the Leda defect are actually one in the same, and it’s engineered. Paul realizes that they want to weaponize the sterilization, and Coady admits to it.
Meanwhile, Rudy gets back to camp and hides and starts attacking the guards and manages to get Miller out, who ends up getting into a fight with Paul as they try to escape the compound. Paul gets stabbed but he’s able to kill Miller, but now they have to go after Rudy. Before he goes so, though, he gets Sarah into an air duct that leads to an escape tunnel, telling her that he loved her. Thankfully Helena is there at the end of the tunnel – she returned to save her sister!
Rudy and Coady go to secure the science they worked on before leaving but Paul is there, and he blows the place up just before Coady and Rudy run away.
It’s all about the science
Cosima shows up late to the lab and finds Delphine there, who now knows that Sarah is missing. She also notices that Cosima is running tests on Castor brains and on Gracie, and that’s when she notices that the protein that causes the malfunction in the Castor boys is also in Gracie, somehow.
So they call Felix and tell him to bring Gracie to the labs so they can run some more tests to see exactly what this protein does, but Felix doesn’t enter — he asks Scott to take him to Rachel so she can find out where Castor is.
Felix shows up in Rachel’s room, and he hounds her to find out what she knows about Castor. It’s a heartbreaking scene, and Felix ends up getting nothing from Rachel but instead runs out crying, leaving Rachel crying as well.
Cosima and Rachel realize that the protein sterilizes the women, and just like how the clones are sterilized. And Scott realizes that Rachel might know the code that will unlock the key in the book.
The Next Big Thing
Alison and Donnie are celebrating their new amount of income when Alison says she’s going to meet with Jason later that day to discuss new opportunities. When she meets with Jason she tells him that now that her debt is paid she wants to take things to the next level.
But then Jason tells her and Donnie they need a front to launder money because they pay taxes on it, and Alison tells them she has a plan. She takes them to her mother’s store, Bubbles, and tells him it’s the perfect front for their drug business.
