X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has released the first image of Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner as a young Jean Grey, as well as our first look at Lana Condor as Jubilee.
Just as Singer did for X-Men: Days of Future Past, he continues to release images from X-Men: Apocalypse’s shoot. Today we get our first look at a young Jean Grey, played by the incredibly talented Sophie Turner, and a new character Jubilee, played by Lana Condor.
We recently got our first look at young Nightcrawler, who is being played by Kodi Smit-McPhee. X-Men: Apocalypse began filming April 27, and to start things off director Bryan Singer revealed our first look at the newly designed Nightcrawler, a character previously portrayed by Alan Cumming in the second X-Men movie, X2.
Today’s reveal gives us a very ’80s feel, with Sophie Turner and Lana Condor sporting some uniquely ’80s outfits. We’ve been very excited about Sophie playing young Jean Grey, as she’s mostly been seen in Game of Thrones, but she’s a very talented actress and Jean Grey is a vital character in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Many new actors have joined X-Men: Apocalypse as mutants, including Lana Condor as Jubilee, who is seen in the new image, Ben Hardy as Angel, and most recently Olivia Munn as Psylocke. This film will be chock-full of new mutants, and we look forward to seeing the young cast tackle the baddest mutant to ever exist. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released May 27, 2016.
