In Red Band Society season 1, episode 4, some of the patients and staff members attend the Homecoming Dance at Kara’s high school.
Red Band Society returns tonight with “There’s No Place Like Homecoming.” The show is really beginning to find its footing, and last week’s episode was great. Let’s hope tonight’s episode is even better!
The description for the episode reads: “True friendships are revealed when Jordi starts treatment, Kara returns to high school, Emma attends her first dance and Leo is put in the middle.”

When Kara (Zoe Levin) finds out that Emma (Ciara Bravo) and Leo (Charlie Rowe) are coming to her school’s Homecoming, with Nurse Brittany (Rebecca Rittenhouse) in tow as their chaperone, she is understandably peeved.
Meanwhile, Jordi’s mother Eva (Catalina Sandino Moreno) lets Jordi (Nolan Sotillo) go to the movies with Dash (Astro), a bad move considering that he’s just started his cancer treatment. McAndrew (Dave Annable) begins to realise that she might not be as trustworthy as he’d like to think.
Last week, Eva came back into Jordi’s life, learning that he had cancer and deciding to stick around to be there for him. Jordi had previously claimed that she was dead, because he felt mistreated as a child.

For Jordi’s sake we hope that she’s changed her ways, but after having been absent for most of his adolescence, we wonder if she can handle the pressure of not just being a mother, but being a mother to a sick, possibly dying child. We sense some serious heartache coming Jordi’s way in the near future, though of course we hope we’re wrong.
Red Band Society season 1, episode 4, “There’s No Place Like Homecoming,” airs tonight at 9/8c on Fox.
