Despicable Me 2 was pleasantly heavy on Minion appearances, and its home entertainment release this December will continue to up the Minion count.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that Despicable Me 2 will hit DVD and Blu-ray this December 10 following an impressive $872 million box office this past summer. The release includes three brand new “Mini-Movies.” Two follow the beloved yellow creatures while a third updates you on Gru’s daughters.
Besides the Mini-Movies, Despicable Me 2 on DVD and Blu-ray includes a wide assortment of bonus features for kids to enjoy when they receive it during the holiday season.
Review: Viewers of all ages can enjoy this home entertainment release featuring the beloved Minions. The film’s beautiful CGI shines through on Blu-ray, and the new mini movies add plenty of fun new entertainment for kids who are looking for more after watching the movie. The additional short films are highly rewatchable for kids, so expect your kids to be asking to watch these more than once.
For the adults, the commentary offers a fun look at the making of the film. Special features including an interview with well-known television and film actor Steve Carell add to the value for the older viewers, making this DVD/Blu-ray a perfect package no matter who at home is watching.
