It looks like The Lizzie Bennet Diaries DVD boxset is finally on its way, and we can now see a first glimpse at the DVD artwork.
A recent update on The Lizzie Bennet Diaries DVD boxset Kickstarter has shared some preliminary artwork for the boxset, featuring Mary Kate Wiles (Lydia Bennet), Laura Spencer (Jane Bennet), and Julia Cho (Charlotte Lu).
The artwork also hints at certain features which may appear on the DVD. The disc 2 artwork featuring Wiles and Spencer shows that the spinoff Lydia Bennet vlogs will be interspersed with the primary Lizzie Bennet episodes, presumably at the point where they would have happened chronologically.
The disc 3 artwork featuring Cho includes an additional list of bonus content:
– Austen on a Budget: One camera, one room, all Lizzie
– Casting and Enriching: A fresh spin on Austen’s characters
– Gag Reel 2
– Gag Reel 3
As the update states that the DVD material has been finished, we believe that the artwork to be a reasonably reliable indication of what material will feature on these two discs.
Currently co-creators Hank Green and Bernie Su estimate that the DVDs will be ready to ship in 3-4 weeks. They have assured fans that they will be in touch with everyone who pre-ordered through the Kickstarter to ensure their address has not changed in this time.
‘Lizzie Bennet Diaries’ DVD boxset artwork:
The Lizzie Bennet Diaries DVD was funded through a Kickstarter campaign, which surpassed its $60,000 goal in only 3 hours. The campaign went on to raise a staggering $462,405, making it the fourth most successful film/video Kickstarter at the time.
The initial Kickstarter description indicated that the DVD set would include every episode, plus behind-the-scenes videos, episode commentaries, deleted scenes, outtakes, interviews with the cast, and much more.
