Not at San Diego Comic-Con? Too busy to filter through different articles catching bits of news? Well, look no further for Hypable has a round up of all the information that was released from Psych at SDCC.
Here’s what you missed from ‘Psych’ at SDCC:
The two-hour musical event that Psych-O’s have been waiting for for quite a while now officially has a release date: Sunday, December 15. Folks lucky enough to be at SDCC, those willing to wait line long enough, were admitted to see an early screening of the event.
Yes, Psych the musical premiered Wednesday night, while many of us will have to wait another five months, but how did the cast get to the theater? In style. The Oscar Weinermobile was kind enough to give the cast a ride to the theater, and of course its not a Psych event without plenty of pineapples. You can check out those pictures here, on the Psych Facebook page.
James Roday now has a twitter, @JamesRoday, joining the ranks of his salmon-colored-pants-wearing costar, Dule Hill (@DuleHill) among other stars, Maggie Lawson (@MaggieLawson) and Timothy Omundson (@Omundson).
The fans voted, and the episode they choose to air during Psych season 8 is: “A Nightmare on State Street,” directed by James Roday. You can see that episode description, as well as the other choices, in our post announcing the contest.
As TV Guide recently released, check out this Psych season 8 trailer – looks like we’re in for a wild ride, Psych-O’s.
For some not-so-fun news for the Juliet O’Hara lovers (who isn’t?) – while nothing is official, Maggie Lawson’s new show, Back in the Game, did get picked up by ABC for the fall. While this doesn’t mean she will not return to Psych, it may complicate her schedule. However, that depends on when the two shows will film. Mira Sorvino, meanwhile, has been cast in a multi-episode arc for this upcoming season, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, she will play the SBPD’s newest head detective, Betsy Brannigan, “a sweet, adorably reserved and yet certified badass.”
What do you make of all this news Psych-Os? It appears we are going to have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
