If you watched Arrested Development season 4, you’ll know that George Michael introduced a new software product that’s taken the world by storm.
The Fakeblock app is now yours to own.
“Developer tycoon George Maharis (aka George-Michael Bluth) has taken wood percussion by storm with his new digital wood instrument: Fakeblock!” writes Netflix. “Download the official mobile app for life-like stereo wood sounds, the finest woodgrain themes and new content.”
The app boasts over 100 million users and is described as “OC’s most popular digital wood instrument. Entertain guests with life-like stereo wood percussion sounds. Appeal to potential dates and family members with high-def woodgrain imagery. It’s not just a woodblock, it’s a lifestyle.”
App features include High-fidelity woodblock tones, a touch-reactive surface, and a woodgrain theme.
By tapping the app, you’ll also unlock material from Arrested Development.
iOS and Android users can download the Fakeblock app for free using the respective links.
Arrested Development’s complete fourth season premiered on Netflix over Memorial Day weekend and received mixed reviews from fans. The uncertain reaction to the batch of new episodes was in part caused by the fact that season 4 had a very different feel to past seasons.
Already there’s talk of a potential Arrested Development season 5. Creator Mitch Hurwitz says he’s interested and the cast have made clear that they’re on board if Hurwitz is. At this point, it may simply come down to scheduling the cast to shoot another season (hopefully with less green screen).
