Jamie Foxx was on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show last night and discussed his Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain, Electro. He also discusses why he may be the first black man to have a comb over.
Foxx was on the Tonight Show to promote White House Down, which stars Channing Tatum and features somewhat of a similar premise as Olympus Has Fallen, which came out earlier this year. Jay ended up talking more about why Jamie Foxx’s character in Amazing Spider-Man 2 had a comb over, and so Foxx explained that he thought that before his transformation into Electro, that he should look very normal and very boring, which should make his character’s transformation even more climatic. Fairly wise if you ask us, and he then went on to discuss the blue paint that we’ve seen him sporting on set lately, and we’ll let you check out the rest of the interview below:
Jamie Foxx did go on to talk about something we aren’t familiar with, and that is the voice that he’d be using for once he’s transformed into Electro. It sounded a little like Bruce Wayne’s voice in Dark Knight, but we’ll save our judgements until we’ve seen a trailer or two from the film. Foxx is a mega-talanted actor, and we look forward to seeing how director Marc Webb has decided to use him in The Amazing Spider-Man’s sequel.
Due to Spider-Man 2 being a New York City production, it’s allowed fans in the past few weeks to catch some candid photos of Shailene Woodley, Emma Stone, and Andrew Garfield.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be hitting theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014. Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, and Shailene Woodley will be joining them as Mary Jane Watson, along with Jamie Foxx (Electro), Sally Fields, Paul Giamatti, and Colm Feore.
