SPOILER: The writers have announced when the beloved series will finally end. See the date after the jump.
In a very short post from the Lizzie Bennet Diaries’ Tumblr page, we’ve found out that the series will end on March 28, at episode 100. This means we only have eight episodes left–four more weeks of eagerly anticipating each episode and following the characters’ reactions on transmedia.
While that’s still a lot of time, it’s quite little in perspective of what some of the long-term fans have invested into this show. Overall, the biggest question is closure. Not just for Lizzie and Darcy, but for all the other characters. Apparently Allison (Gigi) and Christopher (Bing) were absent from the last day of filming. Will these two character get the proper closure they deserve, especially considering that Gigi is moving? And while Bing and Jane had their closure, there’s also the fact that we’ve yet to see Lizzie/Jane/Lydia, Gigi/Everyone, Fitz/Us (face it, WE need closure with Fitz), Bing/Darcy, Mary/Kitty, Lizzie/Charlotte/Mr. Collins (well, maybe the Mr. Collins is just me…).
But the point remains, this show has gown farther than the book and movie adaptions in exploring the relationships between secondary characters. That’s part of what made the approach so original. We love that these characters were developed in such unique ways, and we’ve become attached to ALL of them, not just the main Dizzy and Jing trains. Hopefully we’ll get proper closure in the coming episodes, while they continue to develop the story line.
