The first season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon be available for streaming on Netflix.
Good news for Marvel fans with Netflix subscriptions! Beginning on Nov. 20, American viewers who missed out on watching the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be able to stream the series over the digital provider.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 tells the story of the mysteriously-revived Agent Phil Coulson, as he assembles an elite team to tackle the agency’s oddest cases. The series’ early episodes focus on the team’s bonding issues, and introduces minor mysteries which gradually coalesce into a larger puzzle.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 really ramps up following the cataclysmic events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, after which all bets are off for Coulson and his team. Friendless, betrayed, and desperate, the show puts the team through ruthless paces which provide a gripping lead-up to a much darker second season.
It is mildly surprising that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 has not yet been made available on Netflix, given the apparently close relationship between the provider and Marvel. Netflix will produce and stream four original series for the comic book conglomerate, beginning with thirteen episodes of Daredevil in May 2015. Series focusing on the characters of Jessica Jones, the Iron Fist, and Luke Cage are also scheduled to follow.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 8, “The Things We Bury,” will on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
