In Once Upon a Time season 4, episode 7, “The Snow Queen,” Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) takes baby Neal to a mommy & me class, which seems to be hosted by Cinderella/Ashley (Jessy Schram), and which also includes Aurora (Sarah Bolger).
The episode description released by ABC reveals that, “Emma (Jennifer Morrison) captures the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) and interrogates her at the sheriff’s station. But the Snow Queen uses her prior knowledge of Emma to try to persuade her into thinking that they are more alike than she could possibly imagine.”
The Snow Queen will be playing with Emma’s feelings about her parents and their new baby, as “Emma begins to see what she missed out on by not growing up and being a family with Snow and Charming (Josh Dallas), when she sees how involved Mary Margaret is in baby Neal’s life.”
Meanwhile, “Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire)’s relationship grows increasingly complex as they struggle to find a way to save his dying wife.”
A few stills depict one of the scenes they’ll share this week:
There’s also a sneak peek from this scene, which you can watch on Entertainment Weekly.
In the clip, Robin goes to see Regina despite her telling him not to. “My mind was in the forest but my heart took me here.” Regina reminds him that his wife (and mother of his child)’s life depends on him walking the line.
Finally, “Henry (Jared Gilmore) begins his after school job in Gold (Robert Carlyle)’s shop while trying to help Regina find a clue to the identity of the author of the storybook.”
The episode is Snow Queen-centric, and we’ll be flashing back to Arendelle, where, “we learn about the origin of the Snow Queen and her familial connection to Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Anna (Elizabeth Lail) as we see her discover her spectacular yet deadly ice powers.”
The show has cast young versions of the three sisters: Brighton Sharbino as young Ingrid, Ava Marie Telek as young Gerda, and Bailey Herbert as young Helga.
Pascale Hutton will reprise her role of Elsa and Anna’s mother Gerda, while Sally Pressman will be playing the adult version of Helga.
