Two sneak peeks for Once Upon a Time season 4, episode 3 have been released, teasing Elsa’s flashback and Mary Margaret’s new role as leader of the town.
Next episode of Once Upon a Time is called “Rocky Road” (which it probably will be, but it also happens to reference a pretty delicious ice cream flavour), and will tell us more about the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) and her evil plans.
We’ll flash back to Arendelle once more, to see Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) deal with the power-hungry Hans (Tyler Jacob Moore), while in present-day Storybrooke Elsa is framed for a crime she didn’t commit, and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) catches the Knave (Wonderland‘s Michael Socha) sneaking into Robin Hood (Sean Maguire)’s tent.

In the first sneak peek released for the episode, watch as Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) tries to juggle being a new mother with being the town mayor:
Mary Margaret has decided to invite a bunch of people to a “fireside chat” in Regina’s old office. She’s made an agenda of things to discuss, but the residents are more concerned with the ice wall keeping the town blocked off than anything else.
But just as Mary Margaret has managed to convince everyone that Elsa isn’t a thread, Marian (Christie Laing) collapses. It appears that her heart has been frozen, Frozen-style. Oh no!
Speaking of Frozen… we also get a flashback sneak peek featuring Elsa and Kristoff:
Elsa has realised that Anna (Elizabeth Lail) has gone off the grid, but Kristoff isn’t worried; Anna can take care of herself. He tells Elsa that, “Right now your kingdom needs you more than Anna.”
He also accuses Elsa of being a, “softie.. beneath that ‘obey-me-I’m-the-queen’ thing,” and promises her that, “you’ll warm up to me.” Right, Kristoff, she’ll downright melt at your feet.
Once Upon a Time season 4, episode 3, “Rocky Road,” airs this Sunday at 8/7c on ABC!
