Last night, Warner Bros. unveiled the first Mad Max: Fury Road poster.
Ahead of its 10 a.m. Saturday Comic Con Hall H panel, Warner Bros. has released the first Mad Max: Fury Road poster. Featuring star Tom Hardy, this poster is nothing short of beautiful.
The poster was revealed on the official Mad Max Twitter account. Check it out:
The Mad Max: Fury Road is stunningly beautiful. We can only hope that the cinematography in the movie itself will be just as beautiful.
Just as beautiful as the poster itself is the irony that it is filled with. “What a lovely day,” says the poster as Mad Max looks off into the distance. No doubt he’s contemplating all the dangers out there, including all the brutal wastelanders.
Tom Hardy stars in Mad Max: Fury Road as Max Rockatansky. Also starring in the movie are Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Splendid, Nicholas Hoult as Nux, and Zoë Kravitz as Toast.
This is just one of the numerous projects that Hardy has in 2015, and all of them sound great. 2015 will also see Hardy in Rufus Norris’ London Road, the great Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and possibly Brian Helgeland’s Legend which is filming now.
Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth film in the Mad Max series. The original three films starred Mel Gibson in the role of Max Rockatansky, and it’s currently not certain whether the film will be a reboot or a direct sequel to the other films. George Miller directed Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (the latter with George Ogilvie), and he’ll be directing Mad Max: Fury Road as well.
Filming of Mad Max: Fury Road took place in Africa in 2012, and after many delays the movie will finally be released on May 15, 2015. We can’t wait.
