Castiel, meanwhile, was captured by Bartholomew. Bartholomew wanted to join forces with Cas to find Metatron and return the angels to Heaven, but Cas disagreed with his methods and refused. After being forced to kill Bartholomew, Cas was faced by a number of angels asking to follow him.

The official synopsis for Supernatural season 9, episode 15, “Thinman,” reads:
THE GHOSTFACERS RETURN — A teenage girl (guest star Ali Webb) is killed and the final selfie she took before the attack shows a ghostly figure in the background. Looking for something to keep them busy, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) head to Washington to find the ghost. While the two interview the girl’s mother, Betty (guest star Maria Marlow), they are surprised when she starts talking about cold spots and fritzing. When they ask her about bringing up paranormal signs, Betty replies that the “supernaturalists” who called earlier brought it up. Enter Harry (guest star Ryan Moss) and Ed (guest star A.J. Buckley), the famous supernaturalists. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Jenny Klein (916).
Harry and Ed first appeared in season 1’s “Hell House” as amateur ghost hunters getting in the way of Sam and Dean’s hunt. The reappeared in season 3’s “Ghosthunters,” a spoof of Ghost Hunters, when their ghost hunting group was locked in a haunted house with the Winchesters.
They were also seen on an Internet video about ghost hunting in season 4’s “It’s a Terrible Life” when the Winchesters had no memories of their hunting lives. The Ghostfacers also had their own web series.
Meanwhile, promotional stills for the episode show the Winchesters working a job alongside Harry and Ed:

Finally, a clip from the episode shows that not much has changed since the last time Sam and Dean crossed paths with Harry and Ed; the Ghostfacers remain as unimpressed as ever with the Winchesters:
