During its premiere this week, Teen Wolf brought in record breaking numbers for the show.
From Zap2it we’ve learned that Teen Wolf debuted Monday night with a series high of 2.5 million viewers!
This isn’t the first time Teen Wolf has broken ground for itself. The first half of season 3 also debuted with a high of 2.4 million viewers. And although 3B is looking to outshine the previous season’s accomplishments, the trend upwards is a fantastic sign for the show’s overall success.
And the good news doesn’t end there!
Social Guide, a tracking system designed to measure the level of Twitter interaction surrounding a show, is also reporting that Teen Wolf carried first place for the most socially entertaining program of the night.
In fact, the levels of Twitter activity jumped 25% from the series’ previous high.
The target demographic for the show, 12-34 year olds, seems to be responding well to the show’s draw. Their numbers increased within the television range and are most likely linked to the increased Twitter activity.
Additionally, the Teen Wolf sister show “Wolf Watch” is garnering its own attention.
The talk show, designed to discuss and celebrate Teen Wolf itself, premiered immediately following the werewolf drama and managed to snag a relatively decent 1.5 million viewers.
This means that about 61% of the Teen Wolf audience stuck around to watch the after show. Not bad for an opening night.
A strong performance like this will guarantee attention from the MTV network.
Lastly: If you watch Teen Wolf and want to add to the overall success of the show, remember that Twitter interaction and engagement can have a serious impact. Feel free to tweet during the live airing of the show, and use popular hashtags like #TeenWolf or #MTV so your tweets are definitely seen and measured!
The next episode of Teen Wolf will air January 13 at 10 p.m. on MTV
