Sheldon copes (poorly) with disappointment and Wil Wheaton in still photos from The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10.
Though The Big Bang Theory will take a one-week hiatus this week, still photos have been released from the new episode, airing on Dec. 5.The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10, titled “The Discovery Dissipation,” will see famous faces return to visit the geeky gang when Sheldon receives some disappointing news about a scientific breakthrough he made earlier in the season.

The scene of Sheldon’s great humiliation appears to be a radio studio where NPR host Ira Flatow (who will play himself in the episode) will disprove his accidental theory. As we can see in other stills, Sheldon’s off-again, on-again nemesis Wil Wheaton (also playing himself) will bolster Amy’s attempts to cheer up her sullen boyfriend. There will also be trains.
Rounding out the list of guest stars in “The Discovery Dissipation” is John Ross Bowie as the lisping Barry Kripke. But given Kripke’s history with Sheldon, it’s hard to assume that Sheldon’s scientific rival will be there to comfort him.
The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 sheds a little light on what the rest of the team will be up to next week.
