Thanksgiving will be celebrated with the geeky gang for the first time in The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9. The episode, titled “The Thanksgiving Decoupling,” will kick off the holiday season at Ma Wolowitz’s house – and reveal a surprising piece of information that has been missing from a central relationship.

That scoop we mentioned wasn’t vanilla ice cream. Ladies and gentlemen, it appears Penny is secretly a married lady. Blast-from-the-past Zack (Brian Thomas Smith) will be back in “The Thanksgiving Decoupling” as Penny’s, er, doting, doltish, and totally unexpected husband.
It’s hard to say how Leonard will react, especially given Penny’s propensity to freak out whenever the subject of marriage arose between the two of them. The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9 indicates that he and Penny will (hopefully) present a united front of the issue, though.
Sheldon protests when the gang drags him to Mrs. Wolowitz’s house for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard must deal with a mistake from her past.
Casey Sander will also reprise his role as Bernadette’s dad, Mr. Rostenkowski. Sounds like party time at Mrs. Wolowtiz’s house!
Marriage and family drama (and Sheldon) notwithstanding, it will be great to see the geeky gang celebrate Thanksgiving for the first time. Mrs. Wolowitz’s house isn’t exactly Plymouth Rock, but we think they will do just fine – especially with Raj cooking.
The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9, “The Thanksgiving Decoupling,” will air on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
