Stills from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 2, “0-8-4” show Coulson’s team defending their airborne turf.
If anyone was worried that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 2 might be a letdown from the action-filled pilot episode, these still photos should calm those concerns.
The episode, titled “0-8-4” (nope, we don’t know what that means) will take Agent Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) newly-formed team to dangerous heights this week. Though some of the action will probably be grounded, the still shots indicate that the serious battle will take place high up in the gigantic flying S.H.I.E.L.D. bus.
Also, Agent Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) has a new toy.
Conspicuously absent among all of the running and flying debris are Agent Coulson and Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) who are both significantly more combat-appropriate than Fitz, Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) or Skye (Chloe Bennet.) Still, at least the brainiacs have Agent Ward (Brett Dalton) on their side! (And in a clean white tee-shirt as well. Excellent.)
Aside from all of the technology and high-octane excitement, we also can’t help but note that Agent Simmons appears to be beaming in every single screen shot she appears in. Even that one where it looks like that guy in fatigues is aiming a rifle at herself and Fitz. This girl may be an even bigger mystery than Coulson!
The official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 2, “0-8-4” says:

Leonor Varela will guest-star as Camilla Reyes.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 2 will air on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
