Everyone is still reeling from last Sunday’s episode of Breaking Bad season 5, and today we have a couple of previews to share for episode 15 “Granite State.”
Reads the episode’s official synopsis, “Events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion. We flash forward to the events that take place in New Hampshire.”
This description is presumably a reference to the flash forward at the beginning of Breaking Bad season 5 last year in which Walt was seen with a vehicle that had a New Hampshire license plate suggesting he was living in the state. “The Granite State” is also the state’s nickname. The premiere episode in which we saw the first flash forward was titled “Live Free or Die,” the state’s official motto. The flash forward in this Sunday’s new episode should better open our eyes to what Walt is up to there and why he needs a large gun.
At the end of “Ozymandias,” we saw Walt head off to begin his new life, so we assume we’ll see him arriving in New Hampshire in the story’s present day and begin to accept the ramifications of his new, family-less existence.
The Breaking Bad season 5, episode 15 video teaser offers shots of Marie, Walt, Skyler, Jack, and Jesse with a voiceover from Saul:
Two photos from the episode offer additional peeks of Skyler sitting in an office (the car wash? The police station?) and Jesse locked up at the meth lab:
Viewers of last Sunday’s Breaking Bad agree that the episode was one of the highest points in the series. It was the first episode of any show in history to nab a perfect 10/10 on IMDb.
Show producer Peter Gould, who directs the next episode, tweeted yesterday that the final two episodes will air from 9 p.m. eastern/pacific to 10:15 p.m. Double check those DVRs!
