Peter Capaldi can be seen briefly as the antagonist of The Musketeers, his last television work before he takes over the titular character of Doctor Who from Matt Smith, who will bow out in this year’s Christmas special.
Sherlock will return later this year or early 2014 in “The Empty Hearse” (penned by Mycroft actor Mark Gaitiss), before continuing his adventures with Watson in “The Sign of Three” and “His Last Vow.”
The rest of BBC One’s impressive plethora of drama will air at currently unconfirmed times in the next few months.
