The first clip from beat poet story Kill Your Darlings features Dan Radcliffe’s character meeting Dane DeHaan’s in an unexpected moment for the former.
In the Kill Your Darlings clip, Allen Ginsberg (Radcliffe) is getting a tour of the library when Lucien Carr (DeHaan) starts reciting a poem by Henry Miller. That’s when Lucien creates a surprising end to his recital, setting off a storm of anger from the librarian who asks security guards to arrest him.

Kill Your Darlings opens in theaters on October 18 in the United States. A portion of the film’s trailer appeared online earlier this month, and we expect a fuller version of it to be released in the coming weeks.
The movie co-stars Michael C. Hall, Elizabeth Olson, Kyra Sedgwick, Jack Huston, and Ben Foster. It is directed by John Krokidas.
