Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs and Rayman were shown off at today’s E3 2013 Ubisoft press conference.
Ubisoft did not hold back any big details about their largest IP’s during the E3 2013 Ubisoft press conference.
Watch Dogs took the center stage as new gameplay elements were shown off for the tech-hacker third person shooter. In the E3 2013 Ubisoft press conference trailer, Aiden Pierce fights a man involved in female prostitution in a futuristic Chicago.
New details for what players can expect in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag emerged at the E3 2013 Ubisoft press conference. The trailer shown shows Edward Kenway participating in a bar fight and jumping over to an enemy’s ship. You will be able to raid any location you please, including underwater shipwrecks and Mayan temples.
The gameplay shown was set to the song “Full Circle” by Half Moon Run, and showed a lot of action as Edward fights in many tropical locations.
Rayman: Legends footage showed a viking girl fighting to save Rayman from large green creatures. The new Rayman looks amazing, and features musical maps and competitive multiplayer mode. The game will be out on September 3.
A new IP called The Division showed how a pandemic could be spread easily starting on Black Friday as a result from all of the bacteria on the money being exchanged. The gameplay of The Division showed a FPS game where players act as renegades chatting over an intercom in a lax manner as they discovered a cop, who led them onto their next mission.
The demo ended with fake money falling down on the audience to mock the concept of the game. The Division is coming on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Splinter Cell Blacklist footage showed very dated looking visuals as the characters searched for a way to get onto an airplane after a Guam attack called “the blacklist.” It comes out on August 20.
Trials Fusion will be a revisiting of the motorcycle game on both the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, and PS4, and on smartphones.
Just Dance 2014‘s trailer was added in to lighten up the mood after the heavy Watch Dogs trailer. The game comes out this October across all platforms, and will feature artists such as PSY and Nicki Minaj.
Other notable parts of the conference include an opening song played by Jerry Cantrell from Alice and Chains, where he introduced the latest game Rocksmith 2014, which is the “quickest way to learn guitar.” The electronic instrument game comes out this October and looks to take over where games like Rockband left off.
Rabbids Invasion will be an interactive TV show on the channel Nickelodeon. The game will be interacted with via the Xbox One, where players can tell the characters things like “watch out behind you!” The rabbids come from the Rayman universe, and have had their own spin off games ever since Rayman: Raving Rabbids.
The Crew is a next-gen racing game coming out in early 2014. It will be an open-world game that allows you to travel around the world, taking back cities from a criminal organization. The whole game can be played via co-op online. This demo went on for at least 20 minutes.
The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot had childish humor that failed to land with its audience. The beta for this cartoon game is available online now.
South Park: The Stick of Truth continued the crude humor tradition, and confirmed that the game was coming out for holiday 2013 under a different publisher than it originally had.
